DeNA Swiftly Adapts to a Dynamic Market to Position Mobage as the World’s No. 1 Social Gaming Platform

In 1999, DeNA Group introduced its first service “bidders,” an Internet auction site for PCs. Since then, we have continuously expanded our portfolio of powerful growth engines that have in turn pushed the limits of the e-commerce and social media markets in Japan. Today, we are active across a wide range of business domains, ranging from our “Mobage” social gaming platform to our many other e-commerce businesses. As a result of this rapid development, in little more than a decade our annual sales have grown to more than 100 billion yen (US$1.2 billion) during the fiscal year ending in March 2011.

Around the globe, an increasing number of consumers are making the transition to smartphones, and, as a result, we predict the market for mobile social games will boom in turn. We see this trend as an opportunity. To that end, we endeavor to position Mobage as the world’s No. 1 social gaming platform and to increase annual sales to 200 billion yen by March 2015.
